Sunrise Yoga / Fun Run
Charge your body and calm your mind before you dive into the conference sessions with an organized fun run or morning yoga at the hotel.
Gentle Morning Yoga Meditation & Flow
This early morning sequence is accessible for rookies and regular practitioners. In keeping with the theme of “Building Bridges for a Better Future,” this gentle moving meditation will guide participants through a sequence designed to help them maintain a sense of calm and balance that they can take with them throughout the day and into the future.
This is an opportunity for regular yogis to maintain their daily practice. Participants are encouraged to “amp it up” or “slow it down,” depending upon their individual needs. Rookies and those new to yoga are encouraged to approach the class with a beginner’s mind and a sense of humor.
Heather Ingram is a Yoga Alliance YT-200 certified teacher who began practicing yoga in 2000 while playing competitive sports. She primarily teaches at the Energy Club in Arlington, VA.
Led by SSTI’s own Jason Rittenberg, interested participants will be led to one of the area trails for a casual, no-drop run of about 2 miles. Those looking for a longer workout may run the trails past the group turn-around point. Jason used to run seriously, but promises that the Fun Run will be both fun and free of boring running stories (on his end, at least).
